Meet Kylie
Kylie Gates is a passionate community advocate, dedicated to creating opportunities that bring people together and strengthen community wellbeing. As a proud mum of two boys and wife to her husband, Mark, she understands the importance of connection, positive role models, and supporting the mental health of men and families.
Professionally, Kylie is an Events Manager with the national not-for-profit Youngcare, where she delivers fundraising events that make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with complex and permanent physical disabilities. Through her extensive volunteer and community work, Kylie has organised countless local events and initiatives that encourage people to connect, support one another, and foster a greater sense of belonging. She believes that conversations, community, and showing up for each other can have a powerful impact on mental wellbeing.
Kylie is proud to support the 5km Men's Mental Health Walk, standing alongside the community to raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and remind every man that seeking support is a sign of strength. Her passion is simple: to help build a more connected, compassionate, and supportive community where no one has to face life's challenges alone.

WHAT IF 5KM IS TOO MUCH FOR ME ON THE DAY?
All walkers have the option of ending their walk at any time they feel necessary along the course. We encourage you to join us at the end venue to continue conversations and share in achievements together. If you do decide to exit the course, please ensure you let a volunteer or event lead know.
