FAQ
WHY IS THE WALK JUST FOR BLOKES?
It also serves as medicine, enabling blokes to be active, to connect, listen, learn and to share in the walk and building resilience through action. We recognise wives, girlfriends, sisters, mothers and mates play an important role in blokes lives and welcome the women in your life to join as a supporter (see ticketing option) or a volunteer (contact bec@spoketoabloke.org).
WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
We started Spoke to a Bloke after losing our brother and best mate to suicide. As a team, we work on the charity weekends and after hours, we are passionate about making a real impact. 100% of funds raised goes directly to running the charity, our events and projects to support blokes mental health.
For more information on where the money goes visit our projects.
WHY DOES THE WALK FINISH AT HOTELS, PUBS AND CLUBS?

CAN I WALK ON MY OWN
If you are attending an organised location, we welcome everyone on the day. If you are walking on your own there will be an opportunity for you to make yourself known and buddy up with other solo walkers if you wish.
For our grab a mate and walk anywhere option, please do just this - grab a mate and enjoy a day of great conversations and checking in on each other wherever your 25km walk may take you.
WHAT IF 25KM IS TOO MUCH FOR ME ON THE DAY?
All walkers have the option of ending their walk at anytime they feel necessary along the course. We encourage you to join us at the end venue to continue conversations and share in achievements together. If you do decide to exit the course, please ensure you let a volunteer or event lead know.
OUR ALCOHOL POLICY
We recognise that alcohol can be a contributing factor to mental health challenges among blokes. As such, the event does not promote or encourage the consumption of alcohol, and alcohol is not included in the price of the entry ticket.
We respect the personal choices of each participant regarding alcohol consumption. At each end venue, lunch will be available for purchase at own arrangements, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the discretion of the attendee.
Alcohol service will be managed by the venue in accordance with responsible service guidelines to ensure consumption is safe and appropriate.
