Challenge for a Bloke Brisbane

Wednesday 18th Feb
To assist promoting the 25km “Walk for a Bloke” event on 21 March 2026 and help raise awareness of the CRISIS in Men and Boys mental health, I’m walking 25km every day for a month from Saturday 21 February 2026 until to and including the “Walk for a Bloke” event!!
Men and boys account for 77% of all suicides in Australia. This disproportional amount equates to 7 avoidable deaths everyday and approx 2,500 annually.
The total is two(2) times the entire Australian road toll!!!
Men and boys additionally account for 88% of  work related deaths.
If this is not a crisis I don’t know what is.
There are a multitude of social issues behind this disproportionate  of human suffering. The issues are complex and sadly there is no immediate “magic wand” solution.
It’s been proven over 10,000s of thousands of years that the simple act of dialogue between men has brought millions of men and boys back from the brink of catastrophic self harm.

That’s why I support “Spoke to a Bloke!!!”

Men and boys, please register to join me on Saturday 21 March and walk the 25kms to create awareness for the sufferers of Mental Heath! They do not have to suffer alone!!! or please consider making a donation to support this amazing charity.

Thank you for your donations.

We are a charity focused on supporting blokes mental health. We do this through running a series of community based events, including Walk for a Bloke and Challenge for a Bloke.

Funds raised via these events are being used to fund two core Spoke to a Bloke Projects;

M.I.N.D.S – The MEN IN NEED OF DIGITAL SUPPORT project is an initiative to bring together a wide range of mental health experts, knowledgeable individuals and everyday blokes to create 24/7 help content aimed at supporting adult and younger men.

121 – The 121 project will deliver direct professional help for blokes that need financial assistance and reach those that need it most.

In addition to our projects, our events also serve as medicine.  We enable blokes to be active, to connect, to share, to listen, to learn and to share in events to help build resilience through action.
