Why I’m Walking 25 Km for Men’s Mental Health
Wednesday 4th MarOn 21st March, I’ll be walking 25 Km in London as part of Walk for a Bloke, raising funds and awareness for men’s mental health.
This past year has pushed me harder than I expected.
Major life changes. Personal battles. Pressure that at times felt overwhelming. Trying to stay steady as a father while navigating my own struggles internally. There were moments where I had to face parts of myself I had never really looked at before.
And here’s the truth:
Struggles change you.
If you choose to face them, they don’t break you — they build you.
During this period, I learned more about myself than I ever had before. About mindset. About emotional control. About responsibility. About what strength actually means.
Strength is not silence.
Strength is not pretending everything is fine.
Strength is not carrying everything alone.
One of the biggest shifts for me was stepping into a men’s mental health club and being surrounded by honest, grounded men who speak openly about real challenges. No judgement. No ego. Just brotherhood, accountability and support.
That environment, combined with doing my own inner work, changed my mentality. It reminded me that men’s mental health is worth fighting for. That growth comes through discomfort. That we don’t give up when life gets heavy — we level up.
The struggles I’m still going through are teaching me resilience, discipline and emotional strength in ways I never expected.
That’s why this walk matters to me.
Twenty-five kilometres is a physical challenge — but it represents something bigger. It represents movement. Forward. No matter what.
If this fundraiser helps even one man realise he’s not alone, or gives someone the courage to speak up instead of staying silent, then every kilometre is worth it.

Men’s mental health matters.
Brotherhood matters.
Growth matters.
Strong doesn’t mean silent.
Strong means showing up — and never giving up.
Thank you for your support.
