What is Walk for a Bloke
Walk for a Bloke is more than just a 25km challenge. It’s a day for blokes to step up, walk side by side, and make a real difference for men’s mental health.
This is your chance to reconnect with old mates, meet new ones, and be part of something bigger - a movement that gets blokes talking, walking, and supporting one another.
Whether you walk solo, rally your mates into a team, or get your whole workplace involved, every step you take helps change the story for men’s mental health.

My reason
Monday 9th MarI’m taking part in this mental health walk for men because the issue is deeply personal to me. Growing up, I watched my father carry the weight of his struggles in silence. Despite whatever he was battling internally, he still did everything he could to provide support, guidance, and opportunities for me. That quiet strength left a lasting impact on who I am today.
As I got older, I realised how common that silence can be for men. I’ve also faced my own battles, along with the heavy grief and loss of family members whose lives were affected by mental health struggles. Those experiences have shaped me and strengthened my belief that we need to speak more openly, support each other, and remind men that they don’t have to carry everything alone.
This walk is my way of honouring the people I’ve lost, recognising the strength of the men who keep going even when things are hard, and helping raise awareness so more men feel able to reach out, talk, and find support when they need it.
