Why BRO's? I feel there isn't enough done to support Men's Mental Health, globally. I created BRO’s to provide a safe environment for Men to open up and support one another at GBT. Mental Health as always been important to me, in particular to support people who are struggling. I lost a best friend due to his Mental Health struggles, and this is my key driver - I'm passionate about doing as much as I can to support people who are struggling. We wanted to partner with Spoke to a Bloke after seeing their global events and the impact these have, to organise a AmexGBT walk for everyone at GBT to take part it to raise awareness for Men’s Mental Health and raise money to help others whilst speaking up together!
Alex Middleton
Why BRO's? Because I wanted to help create, and be part of, a safe space for Men to open-up at work. There's plenty of help and good advice out there to do with Mental Health, but I feel that sometimes the best support can be found within a group of like minded people. We each have our own problems and experiences; every so often all we need is to know that others face the same challenges. That's why I joined Jake on this mission. I am excited to get our first GBT event for Men’s Mental Health in place and meeting all the BRO’s.
James Waterfall:
Why BRO's? I chose to be the executive sponsor of BROs because men’s mental health is something I care deeply about, both personally and professionally. I’ve seen first‑hand how easy it is for men to stay silent, to feel pressure to “just get on with it,” and to struggle without support. BROs matters to me because it creates space for honest conversations, connection, and reassurance that no one has to deal with things on their own. If this group helps even one person feel heard, supported, or brave enough to speak up, then it’s worth standing behind.
