Pretoria Magalies - South Africa

Walk Anywhere

Arrangements for Saturday 21 March 2026

Good day Gents!

Arrangements for Saturday 21 March:
- Please arrive at NG Rietfontein-Noord (800 24th Avenue, Rietfontein, Pretoria, 0084) from 06h30, as we would like to start at 07h00 and get a move on.

- There will be FOUR stops / "water holes" along the way, where we will have some nourishment in the form of boiled potatoes, oranges and bananas. We also have 200 water bottles sponsored, so there should be plenty for everyone. You are obviously welcome to bring your own other snacks. A backpack would be a good idea.

- We end at the church grounds again, where they will have a worsrol-braai for us. If you prefer other meat or something, please let me know or bring it along in the morning.

- Support-system people such as partners / spouses / friends / other loved ones are more than welcome to join in at the water holes and afterwards for the braai. Just send possible estimates through, so we can prepare.

- I encourage you to take the time and talk while we are on the walk. Use the opportunity for what it is for - these do not come along so often as we would like them to. Don't be scared to open up - we are all equally nervous about doing so!

I am super stoked to walk with you guys.

Please let me know if there are any questions or queries at 0845128242.

Cheers!

What is 'Walk for a Bloke' - Pretoria Magalies-edition?

Join us for an amazing event - not only spent with old and new mates, but also in the fresh air of the Magalies Mountain at the Northern end of the Pretoria Moot.

Walk for a Bloke is more than just a 25km challenge. It’s a day for blokes to step up, walk side by side, and make a real difference for men’s mental health. A global event in 30+ countries and places, this will just become bigger.

This is your chance to reconnect with old mates, meet new ones, and be part of something bigger - a movement that gets blokes talking, walking, and supporting one another.

We'll start at NG Rietfontein-Noord at 7AM, so be sure to arrive beforehand. The church has plenty of safe parking, so no worries there. The walk takes us to Hoërskool Wonderboom, where we enter the mountain, where the bulk of the walk will take place before we loop back to the church grounds for a boerewors roll (or three) and other refreshments.

Whether you join us on your own, rally your friends or sports team, or get your whole workplace involved, every step you take helps change the story for men’s mental health.
