Walk for a Bloke London

What is Walk for a Bloke

Walk for a Bloke is more than just a 25km challenge. It’s a day for blokes to step up, walk side by side, and make a real difference for men’s mental health.

This is your chance to reconnect with old mates, meet new ones, and be part of something bigger - a movement that gets blokes talking, walking, and supporting one another.

Whether you walk solo, rally your mates into a team, or get your whole workplace involved, every step you take helps change the story for men’s mental health.

Why this matters, what I'm doing

Monday 9th Mar
Life is full of excitement, we've all had times of excitement. Life is also full of fear. You cannot have good times without fear of losing them. Experiencing good times only creates memories that you fear you'll never relive. We fear the unknown, things we don't understand, fear time slipping through our fingers. We fear being ousted, being judged, removed from society or considered broken or change. More than fun, life is full of fear, everywhere we look.
Facing fear is hands down the hardest thing you can do. The bigger the fear, the taller the mountain, the harder it is to face. So why is it, when we are all so familiar with fear, fear is always such a lonely feeling? Fear separates you from people, makes you feel you have to face it alone. That's why one of the first steps to facing fears, is to realise that there are so many people right beside you, going through the same thing in the same way or different forms.
Just a simple conversation, sideways activity, random social interaction sparks something in you that may not get you climbing your mountain but at least gets your brain moving and the wheels turning. Then when it's an interaction of positive encouragement, there is no limit to how far that can push you on your journey.
So then to answer the question: tell me, why wouldn't you do this? To be there for people and everyone? This matters in every way you can imagine.
What goes around comes around, my friend.
We're all just putting one foot in front of the other.
