Walk for a Bloke Jeffrey's Bay

What is Walk for a Bloke

Walk for a Bloke is more than just a 25km challenge. It’s a day for blokes to step up, walk side by side, and make a real difference for men’s mental health.

This is your chance to reconnect with old mates, meet new ones, and be part of something bigger - a movement that gets blokes talking, walking, and supporting one another.

Whether you walk solo, rally your mates into a team, or get your whole workplace involved, every step you take helps change the story for men’s mental health.

Walking 25km — Every Step Has a Story

Saturday 21st Feb
On 21 March 2026, I will be walking 25km in Jeffrey’s Bay as part of the Spoke to a Bloke movement — and for me, this walk is deeply personal.

Life has not always been easy. Like many men, I’ve carried responsibilities, pressures, disappointments and silent battles that few people truly see. There were moments of uncertainty, moments where things didn’t go according to plan, and times when the weight of expectations felt heavier than I could explain.

As a man, you are often taught to be strong, to keep moving, to solve problems quietly and not speak about what you are going through. You show up for others. You lead. You provide. You endure. But sometimes, behind that strength, there is exhaustion, doubt and emotional struggle that goes unspoken.

I have learned that strength is not pretending everything is fine — strength is continuing to move forward even when life tests you.

This 25km walk represents every difficult step I’ve taken in life:
the setbacks,
the rebuilding,
the lessons,
and the decision to keep going no matter what.

I am walking for every man who feels pressure but says nothing.
For every person fighting battles privately.
For every friend who just needed someone to ask, “Are you okay?”

Mental health conversations save lives. Talking matters. Connection matters. Community matters.

Through this journey, I want to remind others — and myself — that no one has to walk alone.

If my story speaks to you, I invite you to support this cause by donating, sharing, or simply starting a conversation with someone who may need it.

Let’s break the silence.
Let’s walk together.
Let’s speak — because every step forward matters.
